Respect to Grandpa Fred, it is I feel extraordinarily moving to see the ordinary faces involved in that extraordinary conflict. xxx
ReplyDeleteL is extremely hot on wearing his Poppy. He's always been fascinated by the Wars, ever since he was tiny wee. Friends have been to see the Poppies at the Tower and say they are amazing- a beautiful sight. M's grandpa fought in the trenches in WW1 and lost all his comrades, mine was torpedoed in WW2 and while he survived by clinging to some floating debris, friends of his died. Fred must have seen some sights in those two conflicts. xx
ReplyDeleteMuch respect, and wearing my poppy with pride. ♥
ReplyDeleteI have a poppy that must be 30 years old, and it will be worn again tomorrow (11th).
