Change is a Beautiful Thing by Kathryn Ferguson

I found this here, at one of my fav' upbeat blogs. Made for Selfridge's Beauty Project last April.

All these women are in their 80s!

Accentuate the positive, eliminate the negative, don't mess with Mr. In-Between, no, don't mess with Mr. In-Between.

  1. HaHa! Better watch me P&Q's here.....
Never been thrown off a Blog...Always a first time!

So, those ladies are in their 80's....1980's? 1880's?
God! Their ugly...I went out with an ugly bird once!
She was so, so ugly...When she'd put lipstick on.....
It went back up the tube...! :).

But then...Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
    It's a good job, we men/boys/males don't fancy
all the same thing, at least every lady gets a turn.
And you know what one turn deserves...!

    Now! Willie! Don't be nasty...Remember...
"It takes a lot of trouble to be nasty...But it's always
    easier to be nice"

On a serious note...There's only one lady on the planet
for meeeeee! AND....That's the lovely Sophia Loren....!

HaHa! Kate Moss...What a dog...! Woof! Woof! :>).

    1. WILLIE!!!!!! Those ladies are not ugly, behave yourself. That is what women in their 80s look like without cosmetic surgery, if they're lucky. I think they all look feminine, dignified and yes they all have beauty. Beauty cannot only be youthfulness surely? Btw Willie, Sophia is 80 now.

    2. Well o.k. then! A slap on the wrist...
But, l tell things as they are...And, let's
      not forget...Personality is also included
in beauty...You must experience the whole
package....After all, videos, photos etc, can
all be doctored...I believe in 'Mano a Mano..
Faccia a Faccia'. Then one can judge the
      'true' beauty of an individual....!

And, if l ever run into Kate Moss...I'd suggest
she goes and live in India....She'd at least be
      sacred over there!
(3 Hail Mary's and 3 Our Fathers for that one Willie). :>).

    3. You're forgiven. And I agree personality is most definitely included in the package. Of course some peeps have 'more ' personality than others.

    4. Oh! l was driving about to~day...
And, one of my 'many' sayings came to mind...
"We don't stop laughing because we grow old...
We grow old because we stop laughing".

So! ALL together now....Haaaa! Haaaa! Heeee! Heeee!
Now! isn't that better...I feel like a million dollars..
      ALL green and crinkly! :>).

  2. They all look wonderful as they are young inside and believe in themselves - as one of them said, beauty comes from within and you light up when you smile. And it's about confidence and not caring what people think too.
Good for them, I hope I look as lovely as they do when I'm in my 80's....
    Thanks for sharing Jean!

  3. Loved it! But ha ha - I'm still chuckling at Willie's comments, and the telling off you gave him too!

I've probably said this before, but I absolutely adore that image of Pendragon >>>> Such a sweet boy! ❤

    1. Pendragon is a Miss, but I understand with her 'unusual' name you might think she was a he. She has just had her head and paws in amongst a certain giveaway prize that you won Yvonne :) In case you missed my last short post announcing you as the winner.

I do apologise, my Cobweb is often mistaken for a boy too :)

  4. Not sure the film made me feel better - Una Stubbs is my "old lady icon", she's just glam enough!
I found these wise words embroidered on a table runner in a country house today:
We don't stop playing because we grow old. We grow old because we stop playing."
    Very true!

  6. Beautiful ladies. They all seem to have an inner confidence which makes a woman attractive at any age.

  7. They're all beautiful ladies. I often wonder why some people can seem really old at 60 yet others in their 80's are like spring chickens, it's got to be the way they behave, not the way they look. I agree with the lady who said that inner beauty shines through, it's untrue that beauty is only skin deep.

  8. It's all about confidence and individuality isn't it? ( I have to admit...I found the symphonic sound track a tad annoying.....)

  9. Lots of wisdom in this video - these ladies are amazing. I hope that young girls watch it and appreciate the quality of self-confidence.
