True Love

My old mate Desmond Carrington broadcasting live from his home in Perthshire, (Radio 2 friday nights) quite often tells me things of great interest.

For instance this love song made famous by Roberta Flack was actually a poem written by Ewan MacColl for his wife Peggy Seeger, ah me, imagine that.

The first time ever I saw your face
I thought the sun rose in your eyes
And the moon and the stars were the gifts you gave
To the dark and endless skies my love..............
