When Jim Broadbent Met The Duke of Wellington

I haven't seen the new film The Duke yet, but I did find this delightful short film from The National Gallery, showing Jim Broadbent viewing the original painting his character stole in real life. Apparently it's the only time a painting has been stolen from the NG.

Interesting to see before you go to see the film or after methinks.

  1. I haven't seen the film either. I do like Jim Broadbent though, it's the type of film I would watch.

  2. Well, this whole saga sounds quite interesting to me. I vaguely recall the story...it was stolen by a taxi driver or a bus driver or something like that?? I will have to do some googling me thinks. 😉 ~Robin~

  4. It is a very enjoyable film. Jim Broadbent is a much fitter and better looking man than you think he is, a testimony to his good acting!
