Yes, you guessed it, the bloomin computer has been playing up again. So took it back to Currys for the second time, who told me they would repair it again! I put my foot down and eventually they agreed to replace it. Apparently if you purchase something from them and have it for longer than 30 days they won't refund or exchange. Be warned they are VERY NAUGHTY. I had to quote various trading standards and consumer rights acts to make them change their tune. End of rant........
Back to nicer things. I have started the most difficult knitting pattern I have ever encountered. With a great deal of hlep from Youtube I am managing. I will post about it soon. It is a garment oft made, which I have only just discovered. Ranunculus by Midori Hirose. I wonder if any of you lovely folk are making it too?
But first, I recently made a very sweet fancy scarf, for a very sweet fancy friend.
This is me very carefully blocking it. It is made in two parts and then invisibly stitched together.
Few things push my buttons more than sellers not standing behind what they sell. So glad you were able to "convince" them to replace it. Wishing you better luck with the new one. That scarf is beautiful! What a precious gift. Great find on the butter dish.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Often I need something and it pops up in the charity shop. Very satisfying.
DeleteWell done on putting your foot down and eventually getting a replacement.
ReplyDeleteI do like your new 'butter' dish.
Enjoy your weekend.
All the best Jan
Thanks Jan
DeleteOh, that butter dish - It's lovely!
ReplyDeleteI can't say that I'm a fan of Currys, either. Not after my own laptop debacle. X
Ah interesting that you had problems too. Whilst standing at their repair counter I heard a man next to me say his washing machine had been repaired three times by them and had broken down hours after each time. Terrible state of affairs
DeleteWhat an annoying situation with Currys and your computer. I'm glad you managed to make them see sense by putting your foot down!
ReplyDeleteThat scarf's pattern is delightful! xxx
Thank you PP.
DeleteGood for you, we have to stand up for our rights these days. That scarf pattern is very intricate, well done. Oh yes, I have all of Nancy's books, she is a bl**dy genius with recipes and household things.
ReplyDeleteIt is a question of, what would Nancy do? And she always comes up trumps.
