Bridgerton
It is no secret dear reader that I'm a huge fan of everything Georgian. So naturally I'm currently drooling over Bridgerton in all it's sublime nonsense and silliness.
The London biscuit company Biscuiteers have produced a very charming Bridgerton biscuit collection, which I expect will fly out despite it's hefty price tag, of £62.00 for 300gs. I won't be indulging, but it has taken a goodly degree of self restraint, as they are sooooooo pretty.

Fun Things
Just a few fun things this week that have floated my boat. A few purchases.
Two of the Marimekko/Uniqlo collaboration small bags. I bought one a few months ago, they are just perfect for the Summer, lightweight and cheap at under £15. Machine washable as well. My son rushed down to his local Uniqlo store the morning they were released to pick them up for me.
Some beautiful books for my new Library room (which doesn't exist yet).
Ice cold water flavoured with mint and cucumber to hydrate me (and to stop me drinking wine or too many low cal fizzy drinks).
And this funny creature. A photo from The Irish Literary Times.
The note in the bottom right of the window pane says, This cat is not stuck, thank you

Wonderful News
It has taken years and years of dedicated work to achieve this legislation. No more will animals be transported from Britain in cruel and inhumane conditions, to be slaughtered in foreign countries. I have supported CIWF for a long time, I couldn't be more pleased. Well done to them.
Now we just need to try and shut down all the dog and cat meat markets in Asia, where unspeakable things are done to these poor creatures. Humane Society International is another charity I support with a monthly donation, they are working hard to close these markets of torture.

Beltane Blessings My Lovely Chums
This lovely Beltane image from one of my fav designers, Wendy Andrew. She can be found at www.paintingdreams.co.uk I have bought quite a few wonderful items from her. Just recently a fab door hanging featuring the Harvest Goddess.
On another bountiful note, I have reached my initial weight loss target of 10% of my total body weight, 17lbs. I aim to continue on for a while longer. But last Saturday I celebrated with my first cake since Christmas. Bloomin lovely. It was too.
